When college friends Michael Markesbery and Rithvik Venna stood atop a mountain in the Alps they were dressed to stay warm. That meant tons of layers and plenty of bulk. It was a Michelin Man moment for the two, who then went to work to see if they could create thermal insulation for a new age.
